Its been a long, hard winter, but now it's almost spring. Aside from that first great drive of spirng, what are your plans. What are you going to do around the house and to your S? What have you been thinking about all winter?

We're going to the Spring Fling. We're going to fix the lawn (where the snowplow missed the driveway and dug up the lawn). We're probably going to paint the shed, and I'm sure we'll wash and wax the S a few times in the first week or so.

How about you? How are you going to do to welcome the new season?

New Roof, New Siding, remodel kitchen and bath. I hope I still have time to drive my S. Oh and I still have to finish my cabinets and install a floor in the new garage.

I'm afraid you are too late and you missed it. The first day of spring was last Saturday, 3/20/2004.

We have a couple of windows that need replacing, along with one of the fascia boards on the back of the house. Our back yard is a mess, #2 daughter's dog tore it up badly over the winter so we have a major job ahead of us to get things to somewhat decent shape. (And we both hate yardwork, too!!! )

Sometime this summer we need to gut and redo the main bathroom...

The SO-2s will go back on the S sometime in April, whenever it looks like the temps will be consistently above the hockey-puck stage for the tires.

So, you really think it's coming, huh? I'm beginning to have my doubts. However, when it does, I'll be repainting or replacing my garage door, cleaning out the flower beds, and planting and just general sprucing up around the house. Only planning to attend two more meets this year but I'll be driving on that trip to nowhere that I mentioned elsewhere as well as many short trips to somewhere.

This is my first spring with my S I am very excited. It's like getting a new car all over again. We are expecting rain and warmer weather this weekend into next week so I'm hoping to get my S on the road by 4/1.
Outside projects I have are prep. my snowmobile for storage and put her back in the shed, clean polish and wax the s, wash and wax what's left of the paint on my truck, and put some more primer on it. Inside projects, go through all my closets clean out organize and donate extra clothes to the local church. Clean all the woodwork in my house with murphy's also.

I'm hoping to usher it in with the March Meltdown this Sun...if my tire sitch gets resolved! Grrr...As for other Spring projects, since I don't have a house to maintain anymore, I have lots more free time to just go walking downtown to museums or whatever. I love to be outdoors.

"No house to maintain anymore....." hummm, has a nice ring to it. You might be onto something for the singles among us.

It certainly feels like Spring. Here at my parents acreage, it's time for Spring clean-up. That means taking "care" of the Gophers, removing dead trees that perished over winter, tearing down the snow fence and aerating the grass. A pressure wash of the garage and driveway should round up the spring jobs.

On a personal level, I have to sell my condo, watch the building of my new home like a keen hawk, and oh...drive the S a little more this year!
