Let's start at the beginning a few months ago - I bought my S2000 the day after Thanksgiving last year and put it straight into winter storage. I got to drive it from the dealer's lot straight to a 10x20 storage unit that I can actually see from my office. Very, very tempting... The car while in my ownership had yet to be driven with it's top down.

It was 4 months and a day, but yesterday I went out for an hour and a half in 35 degree temps (but lots of sunshine) and had a ball driving all over the back roads near me. I intentionally tried to get lost. I went down roads I never knew were there in areas I've lived in most of my life. It was wonderful! I was warm enough, the car drove fantastically, the six speed is as good as everyone says, and that hour and a half went by waaaaay too quickly.

Here's a cell phone shot of the car next to the Hadlyme ferry just below Gillette's Castle in Hadlyme, CT. It is one of my favorite places, and this time of year was deserted. Ordinarily, I would have just liked to stay and enjoy the place like I always do, but I could not wait to get behind the wheel again and continue my tour.



Yesterday was a good day.
