Lainey: Stitches, and glad of it, being that I dragged home something the size of a big grapefruit. I was stupid and didn't listen.

That was quick on the stitches. Nine days? Or maybe mine are in on the long side. I have to wait 14 days. If I was back there, or you were here, we could be a team. I'll drive you around and you write for me.

You can write with your right hand, correct?

There was only one stitch in each site. Bigger incisions likely have stitches longer. I can write but it is VERY difficult. With the sling position my hand has to be at the right height. I can scribble at best.

First PT appt. Doc is VERY conservative with is PT protocol. Passive movement only for six weeks. PT guy gently moves my arm in a couple directions then does it again. I have a hard time relaxing, so we chat a bit, as if I'm not relaxing, it's more difficult for him and me. It does hurt, but the hurt does not last, and it's gotta get done if I want my arm to work properly.

I see him twice a week right now. Glad my insurance is a good one in this department!

OMG I've seen some of the charges for all this! Hospital 13K, they got 8K, anesthesia guy 2k he got 1K that doesn't count the doc, the PT, etc.

Lainey, are you supposed to be on pain killers for PT? My sister was told to keep up the pain meds so she could do what they wanted her to with her knee replacement PT.

I have them if needed. It's not that bad. As the PT guy said it might hurt as he moves it, but the hurt doesn't last. A bit sore this AM but I went for a 30 min walk. That felt good.
