For the inexperienced driver the AP1 handling is more than just a little twitchy - it's a lot; see the dozens and dozens of "I lost it" posts.

...does it really take a minute and a half to reach vtec in first? Only from an ice cold start.

Only to kids coming from FWD vehicles. It's not the Honda, it could be a Miata, they simply don't understand the dynamics of a RWD vehicle.
