Default Lance Armstrong on Oprah

Lance Armstrong will be appearing on the Oprah Winfrey show this Thursday for a 1.5 hour interview. Reports indicate that he will finally admit to doping in his 7 TDF wins. He sure had me fooled. I watched every stage of his tour wins and stuck by his innocence until the USDA uncovered his lies with overwhelming testimony fronm his team mates some of which I also admired. Now, Greg LeMond who claimed Armstrong doped for years will be the only American to claim the TDF title (3X). I met LeMond when he raced in Wilmington and he was a real nice guy who chatted with me for several minutes. I also met Armstrong in Wilmington the year before he got cancer and he was friendly but I didn't feel as comfortable talking to him as I did with LeMond. Should be interesting and I will be wondering how much he reveals in detail or whether he just makes a general statement which is my guess.

I'm not sure why anyone cares at this point.

Thank you for the heads-up. I'm going to go program my DVR to record it.

I'm with Deb. What can he possibly say? "Yes I lied and gee I'm sorry?"

That's all well and good, but if he is finally admitting it, I think he must be working on some kind of "plan", and for that, he needs to "come clean."

I am intrigued by him. I wonder what he'll say and how he'll say it. I want to watch but I don't get OWN, Oprah's channel and I'm not going to add the subscription to my DISH lineup just for him.

I'm sure that the interview (or at least the key parts of it) will be shown on ESPN, or some similar sports network, plus YouTube.

Edit: I just checked her website and it says that the interview will be streamed on-line simultaneously with the TV broadcast. http://www.oprah.com...irst-Look-Video

Edit 2: Even though I am not a cyclist, I am interested in what he has to say. I do enjoy watching the Tour de France on TV.

I think he has some sort of plan. After seeing how Michael Vick and Ray Lewis were forgiven for their sins I'm sure Lance thinks he can come out of this smelling like a rose. He sure had me fooled.

Thank you, Gene. Watch Oprah's interview with Lance Armstrong on Thursday, January 17, from 9 to 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on OWN. The interview will be simultaneously streamed LIVE worldwide on Oprah.com and Facebook.com/owntv.

I'm a little . What does 9 to 10:30 ET/PT mean? Does that mean it starts at 9 for both ET and PT?

I would try on-line at 9:00 PM ET, (6:00 PM PT) and see what transpires. You left coast people should be used to the time-zone differences by now.
