"Leashes" for kids
Did you ever use one of those leash type things on your child? I saw one again today and they always make me cringe. I know some kids move VERY fast and it may be in the interest of safety to keep them close, but those things have always bugged me.
I've seen some that attach, wrist to wrist (parent to child) with a telephone type cord between them, those meet with my approval,
the other ones..............
I have to say there was one time I was watching my nephew and that kid took off like a shot when I got him out of his car seat, right in the middle of a parking lot. I almost had a heart attack, so I guess they CAN serve a purpose.
So did you ever use them?

How about leashes with consenting adults?
I almost added something about that aspect, but I figured there was no need. I knew someone would do it for me.

Nope never used one. I always felt that in public one of us should have a hand on the child for safety reasons. Like in the mall or the theater, one of us always held hands with our son.
Now that he is 22, going to college, I feel more of a need for the leash though.

Not having any kids, dogs, or currently any consenting adults either, I'm sadly reduced to just making smarky comments about the subject.
I like smarky comments.
