Default Left Lane Hogs

So, inspired by Rob's thread on pet peeves, I'm wondering how far we think it's allowable to go to avoid being inconvenienced by one's pet peeves. I'm starting with the people who drive slower than the prevailing speed of traffic in the left lane. In Europe, you never pass on the right, but it's okay to flash your brights and tailgate until the person ahead moves over to let you pass on the left. Do they have the right idea, or are they uncivilized barbarians with poor road etiquette?

I wish there was a good way to handle this, but, unfortunately there isn't. I thought about flashing brights, but I always wonder if I'm just calling attention to myself and tiping off the police that I'm about to speed. I think the only thing to do is to grin and bear it (I already have too many points on my license.)

I voted for "flash your brights" b/c there is....maybe 50%...chance that the culprit is really just not paying attention and may move over.

Oops. I made a booboo. I voted the last one because it made me , and then I saw the one I really do.... be patient and then pass them on the right when it's safe to do so.

Where is the selection for giving them the single finger salute? Just joking...

I usually wait till they move over or if they refuse just pass them on the right even though it is not proper street driving....

Around 50 mph, this is a good opportunity for the ol' downshift into 2nd and VTEC 'em into submission

Yeah, not the nice thing to do but I see it done often. I would do it except I'm a nice person (mostly) and I don't want to get shot.
