I've got about 50 hours in light single engine a/c and a couple hours in gliders. I owned a Cessna 150 for a year back in the 1970s but never got around to getting my license. I have a Longeze project that has been idle for many years. Anyone want to buy it?

When I got to fly a "Big Stearman" it was one of the coolest days of my life. I have long had a warm spot in my heart for this legendary airplane. When I got a chance to fly this beautifully restored from the frame up airplane it was the next best thing to getting a ride with the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds.

Getting strapped in

Strapped in and ready to go

Having a good time

Bringing it home

Now, all I have to do is win a lottery so that I can buy one as a toy. ;-) And get current again.

Soloed a Champ back in 1957. Flew the T-33, T-37, T-38, T-39, B-52, C-123, F-101, F-102 and F-106 in the Air Force Got great pics of a Russian Badger I intercepted once.). ATP with CE-500, CE-650 (Citations), G-1159 (Gulfstream) and Learjet type ratings. Have over 8400 hrs recorded with about 4000 in Citations. Still teach and exam in Learjet simulators- part time, and fly a C-172 for pleasure. Have trained and flown with John Travolta when he had a Citation 551.

This was my previous S2000 with a friend's Learjet.

Very and nice friend! Why don't you become an official Vintage member, Gene? See the New Members thread at the top of the forum.

This is a wonderful thread - I'm glad someone pointed it out to me! I'd love to fly,but that will have to be a long-term goal for me due to the lack of funds. One thing I was wondering, though... how much more training do you need for multi-engine, or even jet, flight?

I was very dissappointed that I missed a very close opportunity to fly right seat in a Citation about twenty-six years ago.

However, even though this will NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN (no thanks to the terrorist) I did get to fly in the check riders jump seat in a Bombadier CL-65 on my way from IAD to YOW before 9-11 To the terrorist this finger does not express my feelings for you

Regarding John Travolta: You must have trained him well. As I know of his emergency landing at DCA a few years ago. Even though that was in his GulfStream if I remember correctly. One never forgets (hopefully) the knowledge that is drilled into them by their instructors.

Such as: Aviate, navigate, communicate. In that order. And Pitch to your point and throttle to your air speed.

Hello everyone... I was shown this thread by MsPerky.

I personally have over 3000 hours TT... ATP Im a multi, single and instrument instructor (CFI, CFII, MEI) I have three type ratings, DA-10 (Falcon 10), G-1159 (Gulfstream II-III- seems to be a popular one in this thread) and a H-125B (Hawker) Im current in all three... but not for long. Im a Part 135 Charter Captain in both the Hawker and Gulfstream. And on July 10th im going to school for a Donier 328 Jet Type...
And I also have alot of time in a Pitts S2C and Piper Cub, so I guess I made my transition to tailwheel aircraft. Heres my pic I posted in another thread... Ill share with you all! (I bought the cub on the right last year)

Nice to meet other S2Ki Pilots!!!! (im not exactly a Vintage Member at 26...) hope you dont mind me butting in on your thread!
