Default Linda Ronstadt interview

Interesting article. Various topics. Sad, about her inability to sing due to Parkinson's Disease.

Back in the early '80s when I bought my first CD player I was an early adopter (I'm not going to tell you what a ridiculous price I paid for it) and there were only 12 CD albums available world-wide. I had a friend who was an executive at WEA who got all of their titles for me at the low price of $50 for each one. Most were classical but one was Linda Ronstadt and the Nelson Riddle Orchestra "What's New". I learned the lyrics and still sing it from time to time when I'm sure that I'm quite alone.

Oh that voice. And those eyes. She provided me with lots of listening pleasure, particularly the Hasten Down the Wind album.

An immediately recognizable voice and probably my favorite singer. My wife swears I said "My god, that's Ronstadt!" loud enough for many in the theater to hear during the "American Tale" movie.

The Voice and it didn't hurt that she was DDG. (Drop Dead Gorgeous.)

Yes definitely the eyes, voice and her sexy looks. 2 of the Eagles (Glenn Frey and I think Don Henley were in her band.

I just watched her 'You're no Good' performance from Midnight Special on Youtube the other night. I was a little kid when that came out and hadn't heard it in forever. Really good!
