My baby is spending the night in the shop, to get her hard top installed tomorrow.
And I am just nervous as heck because I can't go to the garage and see her.

I think I need therapy.

Dave,

Just about everyone here would feel the same. We're ALL nuts.

I don't know. I suppose we all need therapy. So be it. I don't let mine out of my sight either.

Anyway, your S will be home tomorrow and you'll feel better.

I can relate.

When my car was in the shop for 4 days getting the soft top replaced last July I went by every day to see it, and I even took pictures. The guy warned me it would look like surgery and could be upsetting to see it in so many pieces - but I felt better seeing it and knowing what someone was doing to it if it wasn't in my driveway.

And when it was at the body shop for 3 days fixing the door from when it was hit in a parking lot....... I couldn't go see it and I was pulling my hair out. But they did put me in a nice new Volvo to drive...... I felt like a yuppie soccer mom!!

We all understand and you don't need therapy anymore than the rest of us do.

At least I don't have to work tomorrow - I got lots of stuff scheduled - getting a new A/C unit in the house. Doctor's appointment, and the HT install. Last time I had to work when my S was in the shop overnight was at about a week old (to get the XM, etc installed), and Enterprise gave me a frickin' Cobalt.

I'm only about 5 miles from the dealer, I suppose I can go check during the day if it gets unbearable. But what an attraction I've developed in 2 short months!

Nope, you need therapy.

I hate to say this, but you might be in for a full-blown psychotic break if someone dings your door.

Just kiddin--I feel the same way...

Poor baby. I understand. I'm sure I need therapy -- after all these years I still go down to my garage just to take a look at my car to be sure she's okay when I have periods of time that I don't get to drive her. I'm sure its kind of silly and few people would understand. I suppose that explains the S2ki addiction since there are many here who feel the same way.

When the dealer installed my hardtop it only took about 2 hrs. You should have your S back by noon.

Yep, you're just as crazy as the rest of us but that's why we're such a tight-knit family, we UNDERSTAND each other.

But for the life of me, I can't figure out why you want to put your hard top on so early. Surely there's much more top-down weather left in your area.
