I was wondering who were the first pre-vints to join us? Are they still with us? Was Phil (Ruined2) one of the first?

 

I believe Ruined 2 was one of the first who joined us at Berkley Springs in WV. Jonas became Vintage at that meet. I'm not sure if Marco and Denise were Vintage or pre-vint...someone else would know. Other pre-vints posted in the forum, but I don't recall too many joining us for meets.

 

Actually, Jonas became Vintage at the first SF (Balmer/Buckeystown). Berkeley Springs was the second one. The person who was the youngest pre-Vint was probably Raul (airgate). He was in his early/mid 20s. He attended the first SF (and maybe others - I can't remember). Phil was pretty young, too, but I think Raul was younger.

 

Thanks! I had Jonas' crossing over to Vintage mixed up. Our first meet was Berkley Springs and I think that was Phil's/Ruined 2's as well. Not spilling secrets he's 47 now, so he would have been 35 in 2005.

I don't remember (Raul) I'd have to look back at pics.

He really looks like a baby in that pic...he kinda was. He has pretty much removed himself from S2Ki. Too bad. But I know he's on FB a lot.

 

In the early days we had a pre-vint named 4Motto from California. He never came to a meet.

Later on we had a pre-vint named rockett he did attend a few meets.

 

What about Matrix? He was at one of the first meets that we attended but I don't think we have seen him since. I'm no good at judging peoples ages, I gave up guessing long ago.
I'm trying to remember the guy from Upstate New York. He had a spa s2000, a pick up truck, a beautiful cat and a name that is escaping me at the moment.

 

Upstate guy was Doug. Triple H. He had the spa yellow and Maine Coon cats. Not sure when he became vintage. He did not look his age. I think he was vintage when you met him at Watkins Glen

 

Marco (matrix) hasn't been active on S2Ki for a long, long time. I'm guessing he's about 10 years older than Raul. Neither has his friend (Dave?) from Upstate NY, the one you are referring to. He was very active for many years in the Upstate NY forum, but got mad and quit, then disappeared. I've not been in touch with Marco and Denise for quite awhile. She was assigned here in DC for a couple of years with Canadian TV and he came down to visit fairly often, so I got together with them. He's still in Toronto as far as I know. She went back up there and was working as a producer for Discovery Channel.
