Talking Miles per month.....

We haven't had a 'mileage' thread for a while Tally up your mileage and divide by months of ownership

My GPW just turned 30,000 miles before we took off on vacation.....puts me in the 500-750 category (allowing for 'accidental downtime' )

Do you mean in just the S or in all vehicles?

BTW- my S now has 43,000 miles

The mileage per month x 12 months = mileage per year equasion does not work for me as it is more like mileage per month x 6 months = mileage per year thanks to old man winter.

In simple terms here is my break down
~8,500 per year on the S2000
~15,500 per year on the Titan
~4,000 per year on the CRX-SiR

I'm at just over 1,700 miles a month. I've got over 54,500 miles on my '05 Suzuka baby.

We'll add about 6-7 K miles on the S this year. A slow year for us. We no longer do much of the aimless riding around as it seems we've been to all the destinations within the "aimless riding" area.

I put around 8K on my Jeep each year, and Rick put about the same total per year, or less on whatever vehicles (shop demo) he drives during the year. We live within 6-8 miles from our places of employment, and most long distance drives are done in the S.

I get groceries in Palmdale and that's at least 12 miles away. Costco is about 18 miles away. The closest place I go is the 76 gas station and it's 2.4 miles away. The good thing is, between here and Costco, 18 miles away, I have just two stop signs in Acton, and then 2 traffic lights in Lancaster. And can usually do 80 mph to get there.

Almost 38,000 in a little under 35 months. It also doesn't get a lot of winter use.

About 50,000 miles in 48 months, which converts to an average of 1,040 per month. (I currently have 61,000 miles on my '01.)

My numbers are a bit deceiving. On the straight line in 51 months I have averaged 1549.02 miles per month. But from April of 2003 until November of 2005 my S was my daily driver. Since November of 2005 the average monthly mileage has dropped to 778.47 miles per month.

If one looks at only the mileage from 16 Apr 03 until 4 Dec 05 I averaged 3210.45 miles per month when it was my daily driver including going to events.

It's not the quantity, it's the quality of the miles that matters. I generally hit about 6000 miles per season but some are much better miles than others.
