Lucky Me. Be here a couple of days for a funeral.

On the way back to Fl I stop in Chicago to look at a new toy. Here's a hint. It says GT on it and it's not a Mustang.

We'll see if it's as represented.

The car wasn't quite up to snuff. It had more miles than represented and in my opinion had been in an accident although there was no car fax on it. I didn't even make an offer I'm going to keep looking.

I'll find one.

I'm headed for Deals Gap today.

PS I'm looking for a Ford GT or preferably a GTX1

I cannot say I'm crazy about the color scheme, but it might be your cup of tea.

That ones been bouncing around for awhile. It was listed for 285k by a dealer. Lately it was on ebay with 150k.

You're right, the colors not my style either.

Ps I have the ability to look at "Black book". For the few that have gone to auction, they're pretty reasonable. On the web, prices on them are all over the place.

What particulars are you specifically looking for fits? I may be able to source out a specific car or model in that line, there are several in Texas.

I want to keep it under 160k out the door and I'd prefer a red or black with all four options and a stripe delete (good luck). I would consider any color but yellow if the price was right. An x1 with low miles. I've been slowly searching for a few months now. There's a couple around that have been over modded and seem to change hands regularly. A Hennessy version just sold for 140k. I guess they made 40 gtx1's but there's some chop shop conversions.

My gut tells me to wait a little bit and see if they take another price dump like the zr1's have but if the right one comes up. I'm motivated. I'm a picky bastard. There's a couple of them around here in Naples. I keep waiting for one to show up only driven slowly by an old person.

September has been hard month on my relatives.

Next week I'm headed to another funeral. This one is deep in the Ozarks.

On the way back I'm going to stop in Jonesboro Arkansas and look at another GT40.
