Not a bad road, though.

Modesto California (George Lucas's hometown) has a Graffiti Night which is strictly controlled event to this day. In the sixties there was an active rivalry between Modesto & Stockton amongst teenage "hot rodders". These rivalries were played out on Modesto's McHenry Road and Stockton's Pacific Avenue, each group knew each others cars and the stoplight races were frequent. In those days the spectators, in their own cars, would park in empty parking lots along the routes and watch these races. The cacophony of music blaring from passing cars, lopping V8's and tires screeching went into the night sometimes until 2 am.

Hopefully my addition to More Great Fun Stuff isn't out of character. I cannot watch this video without smiling watching these amazing well preserved pre 1905 automobiles and motorcycles.
