Default Mushing in Portland!

I am going to attempt to put a link in this to the KGW tv webstie for a video of my son Mushing his sled in city of Portland Ore. kon Christmas eve. Portland had 14 inches of heavy snow just before Christmas, and my son, who has taken up the sport of dog sled racing, is training for a sled race this coming weekend.

I actually managed to post the url correctly - I surprized myself!

Anita and I spent this Christmas with Thad and his wife. Those dogs are a real treat to be around. Very well behaved, more so than some people I know.

Indeed. He and his wife have four dogs, all live in the house. They are extremely well behaved and well trained. Come to think of it, I would rther live with his dogs than some people I know.!

Very cool...Cold in fact. Thad seems really personable and well-grounded for someone who mushes dogs for a hobby.

I love watching snow...as long as its on a video from somewhere far far away.

That was great, thanks for posting. I was watching it and my dog came down from upstairs and was at the door barking like crazy so I went to see what was out there. Dah. Nothing. She had hear the dogs barking on the video and thought they were out in the yard.

I'd rather live with many of the dogs I've met than a lot of the people I know. Dogs are great friends.

Cold indeed - his idea of a vacation is to go to Nome and watch the end of the Iditirod (sp). This coming month he will be at Duluth assisting another musher in a sled race. He will be racing his team this weekend on Mt. Hood. Wish I could be there to cheer him on.
