What's that old saying? A man has to know his limitations? Well, I think I am the only carbon-based unit on the planet earth that has to iron his blue jeans because they come out of the dryer wrinkled. . I wash them and dry them on the permanent press cycle. What the heck am I doing wrong?

You are taking yourself too seriously, but I am guilty of the same.

No I'm serious. Someone needs to tell me what I'm doing wrong because I HATE ironing. And there is no excuse for having to iron jeans.

Just put them on and walk around, the wrinkles will disappear.

Even if the wrinkles don't disappear, what difference does it make?

Have you tried taking them out before the dryer stops? That's what I do with my stuff that would need ironing normally.

Try fabric softener in the rinse cycle, max at 5 pairs of jeans per load, and heat in the dryer at the second to lowest temp for about 45 min and remove at the first bell/buzzer.

I'm sooo domestic

I usually do the laundry, and Hilly irons. I've found that if I can get the clothes out of the dryer as soon as it buzzes, and fold/hang the items, things usually don't need ironing, or perhaps just a little touchup. If you are late getting to the dryer try giving it a run of a few minutes on permanent press cycle to freshen things up. That should help with the wrinkles.
