Neighbor's horse loose
I was washing my car, when I looked up and saw my neighbor's horse coming down my street at a fast trot. Two of my neighbor's were chasing him with a rope. The horse hung a left at the end of my street, which brings him into acres of woods. The two neighbor's followed the horse into the woods, but they could not catch him. The owner is at work, maybe after the horse is no longer being chased, he will return back to his property. The neighbor next door said he saw the horse eating up his shrub's earlier and when he went out the horse took off. I'll let you know what happens.
Don't count on him just walking back home. Approach slowly from the side while talking calmly, offer a couple of carrots, loop rope loosely around neck, pat the neck and don't try to touch the face, walk on the left side holding loop loosely, walk side by side only, do not try and lead or pull the horse, walk him home, talk to the horse the whole time in a mild tone, don't forget to close the gate, go home and have a beer while realizing you just talked to a horse.

Word of caution - if you approach from the back - hope your health insurance is good and up-to-date.
It doesn't matter what you say to the horse - just say it in a calm voice.
Horses are curious animals. If he shows up, just stand still - 9 times out of 10, he'll come to you. Think of Robert Redford in "The Horse Whisperer". He just sat in the pasture with the horse and eventually the horse came to him. Oh yeah, don't show him the rope.
Don't chase a horse no matter what he does - then it becomes a game. And you will NOT win that game.
If the horse starts pulling - pull his head to the side. NEVER wrap the rope around your hand. If the horse takes off - you lose fingers or perhaps your whole hand.
