Default New Forum Format

A bit intimidating? Is that the correct word? I find it harder to look over an entire thread, than the old version.

Oh well... life goes on, long after the thrill of living is gone.

Yay!!! EDIT!

Default Email notifications of posts to threads you are in

Personally I'm not a fan of receiving them. To stop that went to:

User CP (Control panel)
Settings & options
Edit options
Messaging & notifications

And removed that option.

BUT it's not working.... at least not yet.... I just got two emails. TBD.

I now "unsubscribed" to all 5 zillion threads. Hope that works.

Default Mark as read

I'm wondering if there is a way to mark all the threads at once as "read"?

Yep, there is. There is a dropdown at the top of the sub-forum marked "Forum Tools." There is an option there to mark the forum read..

Still can't find it, it is not shown under Forms or under Tools.

In the Vintage Forum tab, not the individual thread, it is shown. OK, it's not at the top of the page, but midway in a blue shaded area.

Oh, yah, over there on the right side. Thanks!! That eliminated all the Bold Headings on every thread.

Ok, Gene.... I got another question. Is there a quick way to return to the Vintage Form page after reading through a thread? In the old system it was easy because the option was at the bottom the page after you read it. Now it looks like I have to go all the way back up to the top. Hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, I got rid of all the bold, too. There is Forum Tools in the bar, and in a topic, there is Topic Tools, where you can unsubscribe.
