Welcome
Enjoy your car. Every once in awhile, compare it to your old mg and start laughing.
There's lots of old British roadster owners in here.
Take it easy in the rain the first couple times too, The S hangs great untill it's gone and it leaves quickly.
You obviously have a wonderful wife.

Real all the threads that you can about care and driving of the S. One of the great things about being Vintage is that we heed warnings and learn from the mistakes of others. The S eats tires and thin tread + water = ACCIDENT. Also, things happen very, very fast when you're driving the S. A twitch of the steering wheel means your car will change direction FAST. The S demands your full attention, but she repays you with the thrill of a lifetime and a driving experience that is unparalleled. Have fun and be safe. Please.
Welcome to Vintage. Now our cars are fast, though it's debatable if silverstone is the fastest. What ever you do don't travel as fast as Legal Bill may advise you. He never lies but he's often wrong! Hope we get to meet you at some or all of our Vintage Gatherings. This car changes the whole focus of what you do with your vacation time! Keep smiling!
Thanks again for all the great welcomes and advice. I've had the car 8 days now and put almost 500 miles on.. working toward Vtec time!!!
Those of you who are prior british roadster people will understand this.
Ever since I stopped driving my mg I've always wanted another roadster. unfortunately, roadster=english=totally unreliable. or, roadster = italian=totally unreliable + expensive.
one of my dreams always seemed impossible. a roadster sports car that didn't require almost as much maintenance as driving time. Every time I even considered buying a roadster all i had to do was remember the constant maintenance on the mg and soon enough i was out of the mood.
when honda first introduced the s2k i couldn't believe it was possible.. since 1980 we've been fortunate enough to have owned 8 new hondas, with no , absolutely no, mechanical failures. (we averaged over 100,000 on each). most with no maintenance beyond oil changes and filters.
anyway, i've rambled enough .. it's great to be here, and living my dream.

Welcome! Great bunch of folks here, and from the sound of your intro, you will fit in just fine!
I'm also a new owner (mid-May), but since my color is faster than yours, let me know if I can be of any help.

Dave,
I can see you have plenty of experience with the british cars, especially the MG marque. I must, therefore, bow to your expert opinion.
But, the honda has power windows

Aside from that misinformation; welcome.
