This is what they have to say:

We have a central vacuum system, so I can't personally recommend any vacuum.

Wikibuy has it for $266: https://wikibuy.com/p/shark-nv-831-d...d-2efd91a70b8c
I did look at this Gene and I like the fact that it vacuums both carpet and hardwood. We like our current shark but you have to switch to the hardwood floor cleaner after vacuuming the rug. It got very good reviews on Amazon and we have prime so I can get one for about $240 with free 2 day shipping. Thanks for the info on this.

I have a rotating brush attachment which really pulls imbeded dirt out. Their customer service is fantastic. Go on line and check them out. Much better than a shop vac and easier to maneuver.
Thanks for the info,Ray.

Looks like they basically have two models, one for $100 and the other $400. Which do you have?

I have the automotive vac and blo which sells for $282.00. Mine cost less than that but it is 15 years old and still going strong Dave. The blower only vacs are over $400 and I don't think they are worth it. The blower part on mine is great plus I have the vacuum on the other end.

Another central vac user, but before switching to this system we've been using Shark and were pretty happy with it. Used this DuoClean for about 6 years before moving to another house and as far as I know it still works well (from my father's words).
A big plus I should mention that it's really easy to clean.

Hard to beat central vac.
We've had it in the last two houses but only because prior owners had it installed during build.
Certainly not complaining that they did.

Until something gets stuck in one of the lines, which just happened to us. Luckily, I was able to pinpoint the blockage (accessable in the basement) so was able to cut out a section of the tubing and remove the offending material. I had also saved extra couplings and tubing so was able to repair it successfully. Now we will be very careful not to vacuum up the various wood bits that fall underneath the log rack in the family room, several of which got jammed in an elbow and caused the back-up.
