I think the tradition of making New Year's resolutions goes way back to the ancient Babylonians. Since their new year began in the spring, they used to resolve to give back all of the farm tools they had borrowed during the year.

It is not easy to come up with a resolution that is achievable. I can't stop beating my wife or quit smoking.

Do you want to share your New Year resolution(s)? Or maybe they are too private...

 

Why can't you? I really think you should refrain from both.

 

I was again overobligated last year. I hope to have more choices this year.

 

1. Stop sweating the small stuff.
2. Work smarter and not as hard.
3. Make time for myself for a change.

 

Every New Year,I take the very same Resolution.and I always hold on to it.!!!

I always take the resolution,:Not to take any RESOLUTION...

On first reading I thought you said "Stop swearing" and I knew that and smoking cessation was way too much for any one year.

 

... Not to mention that if I "stop swearing" , it would take away at least half of my vocabulary!! :LOL

 

That's cold! I've tried to clean up my vocabulary lately.
