. . . his nickname for me was Highpockets.
Maybe you were wearing your pants a little above the waistline, there, young man . . . like maybe under your armpits??? Nahhhh, then he'd have called you Armpits!! When I was very young I worked in a law firm and one of the partners wore his pants up so high that I secretly referred to him as Highpockets.
Whenever I want to tease my +1 I call him JimmyRay. He doesn't like it.

Do you use or assign nicknames in your family? Are there other interesting nicknames that come to mind?
The kids seem to be really big on nicknames. Big daughter is somtimes known as Panda. On Damon's trivia game she goes by "Nixon". Big daughter is pretty big - 6 feet tall. There was a time when she and the son-in-law referred to her as his little "small block". I got in trouble over that one. I was thinking 351 and they meant 302.
Baby daughter, Jennifer, goes by "Fleebie" (short for flea bitten furbit), "Lil' Varmint", "Jack Benny" (I have no idea why), and occasionally "Jenn".
Grand daughter is known a Flinkus or Flinky, Zippy the Wonder Squirrel (e-mail address zipster18@...), and sometimes just plain "Squirrel". Since her new boyfriend is only 17, she may become known as "Mrs. Robinson".
When wife wore her hair permed, they labeled her "Puff" or "Puffine".
I get to be "Poppy". I think that started with one of my Florida shirts - light blue with big red Poppys on it.
