Default Nuts.

I'm killing time right now since no one is coming in to see or adopt an animal at the Larimer Humane Society in Loveland, Colorado.

I was eating nuts last night and was wondering what kinds other people like or dislike. I definitely have favorites but will eat all in this assortment.

My favorite by far are the pecans. I've made them from raw pecans by baking them in the oven but I like them so much I eat way too many.

I've tried to increase my intake of nuts as they are reported to be very good for your health. I tend to buy mixed nuts, unsalted.

My favourite nut is a hazelnut, followed by cashews, almonds are good, along with walnuts and pecans. I like a brazil nut thrown into the mix once and a while, not too many though. Macadamia nuts have a nice feel to the tooth, not a ton of flavour, but just enough. I like them all with pumpkin seeds mixed into them.

I love nuts, but try not to eat too many of them. The calories really add up. Right now I am addicted to Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Cashews. Really, really good. I also like pecans, macadamias, and pistachios. Peanuts, walnuts and almonds less so, and Brazil and hazelnuts not at all. I cook with pine nuts quite a bit. Those are yummy.

Cashews are my favorite, pistachios would be second. Macadamia nuts are good in cookies though

I don't think I've ever had a hazelnut unless is was in candy.

Cashews, cocktail nuts, and even peanuts in the shell. I don't eat any of them often, always get stuck in my teeth. Hate that!

Deez

Ok, someone here had to say it :P

I love peanuts, roasted and salted in the shell preferably. I can make myself sick eating them.

Also a huge fan of pecans, but moreso when they are in something else. I will trade 10 pumpkin pies for one pecan pie on the holidays

Cashews are one of my top choices for nuts when eating them by themselves.

Pistachios are always good.

Hazelnuts are ok, not my favorite.

Almonds I always like. Lots of good stuff in them for you.

I'm with Sam, cashews first, then pistachios, and once in a blue moon, peanuts. I eat these salted. But please don't put nuts in any food, I hate it. In fact, put walnuts in my favorite brownies or fudge, I won't eat it. (and I won't like you anymore)

I am Italian, and hazelnuts are consumed by us quite a bit in our culture. Yes they are popular in candy, hazelnuts and chocolate are great together- Nutella spread, Baci chocolates Ferrero Rochet Chocolates Ghiradelli chocolate and hazelnuts...…..

Sam just reminded me, Pistachios are also at the top of my favourites when it comes to nuts. Pine nuts are good for cooking too.

OK just being pedantic as usual, cashews are technically legumes and not nuts.
