Default nuts, time for rears

sigh, it's amazing how fast 3 years can go. It seems like I just put these on.
I got 13K out of the rears but just looked at them and they are pretty well cooked.
Probably go back to the S-02's again.

I put potenza re050's on last time.

Far superior tire to the SO2 in every way.

How are the fronts? And how much are you locked into the slightly wider rear OEM S-02s?

Tire Rack offers Bridgestone RE-11s, RE050A pole positions, and the OEMS. They also offer the Yoko Advan AD08s in the "stock" 16 size.

I'm looking at either the RE-11s or the AD08s for my next set on the 17" Volks.

I've managed to get out of sync on the fronts and rears, I did fronts last year.
assuming I do the rears fairly soon they'll probably both hear out about the same time this time around.

just can't wait to tell the da boss I'm buying more tires. I just put performance snows and summer tires on the DD in the last 6 months.
She hates buying tires.

I gave up on the 16" setup...
Nobody sells a 245/45-16 street compound anymore
225/50 for the rear always seemed too small
If I were still doing 16" I would have bought the Yokahama ADVAN NEOVA AD08

FRONT Potenza S-02 in 205/55-16 is
Section width- 8.1"
Tread width- 7.1"
Diameter - 25"
UTQG- 140 A A
REAR Potenza S-02 in 225/50-16 is
Section width- 9.2"
Tread width- 8.5"
Diameter- 24.8"
UTQG- 140 A A

FRONT Hankook R-S2 in 205/55-16 was
Section width- 8.3"
Tread width- 7.2"
Diameter – 24.9"
UTQG- 200 A A
REAR Hankook R-S2 in 245/45-16 was
Section width- 9.6"
Tread width- 8.7"
Diameter- 24.6"
UTQG- 200 A A

FRONT Yokahama ADVAN NEOVA AD08 in 205/55-16
Section width- 8.4”
Tread width- 7.7”
Diameter- 24.8”
UTQG- 180 AA A
REAR Yokahama ADVAN NEOVA AD08 in 225/50-16

Seriously, if you have 17", do yourself a favor and do the Hankook R-S3

I have no idea how I've managed to do this, but I have my original tires on my '06 and they all are looking good. +1 checks them and makes sure my tire pressures are good. I have 31k miles on the car and I'm elated. It looks like they won't need replacement for a while yet. Makes me happy. Could be that most of my miles are highway miles and there are zero curvy roads here.

The Hankook RS3 is a very sticky tire, but with a 140 tread wear rating there are better offerings.

Yesterday I had Direzza Sport Z1 Star Specs installed on the rear. Those are my street tires. I had ordered a whole set a few months ago and they were sitting at the shop waiting; but I only needed the rears for now. I'm getting the car ready for the Asheville run to SF. Then today I took the car and my trailered Toyo track tires to Nissan for all eight tires to be filled with Nitrogen. I'm headed for the track on Friday -- first time in a while. I am going to run the Berk test pipe that I salvaged from the scrap heap.
