Default off the wall question

ok so HP. has me peeved by they way they seem to have affected a price fix on their OEM toner cartridges.

does anyone have any experience with remanufactured toner cartridges for their laser printers?

and have you noticed they appear to be a little optimistic on how many pages you'll get out of a cartridge? I know it's a you mileage may vary thing but jeez louweez.

^^ Didn't you know? They quote pages-per-cartridge based on blank pages. HPH

They took a page from Henry Ford's book. As Henry said, let me sell gas and I will give the cars away.

I dont know if you thought of this but sometimes they sell just the toner and not the fuser attached to it. A lot of that $$$ price is due to the fact they are selling you a new fuser everytime you buy a toner. I know brother sells either or, i do not own an hp so i dont know how they work on resale.

I haven't tried it, but here you can go to Walgreen's and get your cartridges refilled. I think Office Depot does it too. If I recall right, it's about $10 for black.

I take mine to the local Office Depot, (Office Max?) when I buy new ones. They give me reams of paper for the empty cartridges.
