I'm not sure it is the same for women but most men's gym locker rooms have a common shower area with multiple heads on the wall .
Old guys wander around nude 'cuz well, that's what they do.

but the thought of watching that work out... oh hell no.
and the folks who you might want to see work out, yeah, nope they aren't the ones who'll be there.

 

When I was growing up the YMCA where I learned to swim did not allow any of us young kids to wear bathing suits. No big deal at the time but I always wondered who's idea that was and why?

 

When we swam in gym class in my high school the guys wore their birthday suits.

Try jumping off a 30 ft. tower totally nude. We had to do that during Navy fire training school then stay in the pool for an hour and tread water. We also had common showers.

 

Ladies' locker rooms have nice private showers....Some have a nice shower, a small area attached in which you could change too. No need to stroll around in the birthday suit. I've seen a few half naked women here and there, in the common areas of the locker room, but they are in the process of getting dressed.

Remember the "Seinfeld" episode about "good naked and bad naked"? There are some movements that look better when the body is covered in clothing.....just my opinion of course. I'd bet most of the naked exercisers look better with clothes on.

 

What is the world coming to?

 

Let me be clear.
I'm not being a prude, if anyone out there wants to participate in this, go for it, hope you have a good time.
Just don't feel obligated to invite me.

 

Frankly, I expect the place to go under due to lack of support.

 

I remember when my generation celebrated the human body. I guess we were celebrating young human bodies.
