God, I'm glad I live in the north. I really feel for you people who drive the car year round and don't know what it is like stepping into a brand new car each and every spring, no matter what year your car is.

just got back from my first drive of 2008
Congrats, I can't wait for BOTH of mine.

The thing that always blows me away, is the feeling I'm dragging my butt on the ground. After 6 months of nothing but the high ride height of the Titan, when I drive the cars it blows me away with just how close tot he ground I am.

Glad to hear you had a great 1st drive Dave, mine is probably still a couple weeks away. It's almost time to put the dog sled away for the summer!

Ah heck Dave, it was upper 30's

I never fold the top below 32 degrees

Long range forecast is not that great for this weekend

But, at the moment (long way off still) they are saying 40 and sunny for our Museum Meet

The logic of what you say about being "S-deprived" during the Northern winters could be true, but I hope you don't really believe that BS about feeling for those of us who drive our cars year round. After living in that climate for 42 years myself, I'm all too familiar with the mind games we played in order to justify our misery during those long winter months.

That's okay, go ahead and feel sorry for us playing in the . I've been doing my winter bike rides and top-down S drives completely guilt free...and with a on my face. The SoCal roads are crowded enough as it is, so it's probably better that some people chose to deprive themselves of the S-Factor for a few months and live in the ice and snow.

Don't get me wrong...I understand the fun that is to be had in winter wonderlands (I lived in Colorado for 12 years), but don't EVER think you need to "feel" for those of us who don't need to moth-ball our cars for 4-5 months every year...not EVEN... We're doing just fine (We just have to buy tires more often )

I have to give you guys one thing, you dont have the love bugs we get
at the end of summer. They will absolutely plaster your car. You have to
have a pressure washer to get em off. They stink and take off your paint. I guess were even.

My car never sleeps! In fact, I had the top down this evening on my way home from the gym. It was 50*, or maybe a little lower by then.

I'll give the winter wheels another couple of weeks and hope that the morning temps are over 45* by then.
