Just found out I have a date with a surgeon on Monday afternoon. At least she's cute.
Lucky me.

Good luck, Grant. Hope it is quick, relatively pain free, with a fast recovery and a good outcome. (Or at least three out of four.)

They are teaming up on me. I will have gastrointestinal surgeon, a heart surgeon, a rhythm specialist and the usual others in attendance. I have a pacemaker implanted in my stomach cavity and they have to work around it. My heart is working fine but they found a large growth where my intestines join. Biopsy came back positive. They'll start with cameras and robotics and go from there. Hopefully it won't be fully invasive, I don't need another long hospital stay or another 10" scar. I already look like a Raggedy Andy. I've been dealing with it all week after a cat scan or two and a really long colonostopy.

They called me today and I'm scheduled for Monday. The Cleveland Clinic in Weston is full of people from the hurricane. They'll be doing it here with a remote hookup to the Clinic in Weston. The physicians are all part of the clinic staff.

I'm not looking forward to it but thanks for the well wishes. I have no clue what I will be like Tuesday morning. Who wants to volunteer to put up a Dead Celebrity Animal.
