PAC-MAN
I don't know how many can see this news link from January 1982 since it's on facebook. A blast from the past.

The only game I was hooked on was Galaga. At that time you could only play it at arcades, I played the game so much (25 cents a game). I eventually became the high score on the machine at our local arcade, so my name was plastered in lights, lol. It was quite the feat to be the high score user on a machine with your name listed on it. Once I reached that point I stopped playing.

Asteroids was my game in college. Our unofficial school (University of Washington) hangout was Goldie's on 45th.
They used to have a weekly high score prize of $50. My friends and I bought a lot of beer and played a lot of foosball with that money.

Galaga was my choice in the arcade.
In college, there was a game "Track and Field" that allowed four people to play at a time so that was a choice. Gauntlet was another 4 person game.
Two player cooperative - Silkworm.

I was never very good at Pac Man. I enjoyed Galaga but only when the venue did not have a Dig-Dug machine, my addiction of choice. I was a young adult when all these video games came out so my play was limited more by time than quarters.
I've always preferred a good pinball table to video games, especially since I could get some of the video game experience at home, first on our Atari 2600 and later on my Commodore 128.

Rick liked video games. Still does. He played some pacman. We've had various gaming consoles. Back in the day the graphics were little stick people playing baseball.
He still has gaming consoles. Playstation 4 and 5. He likes the driving games, and some of the violent stuff too.
He only plays a limited time, generally later in the evening for an hour or so.
