Fortunately, no. That would be a disaster. They shut off the pipes in the tier (there are 33 tiers) and area they are working on - i.e., master bath, guest bath, kitchen, etc. So it is localized. Even though they were working in my master closet last week, it was for the tier next to me, so water in my unit was not affected. Drywall will be done Mon and then I can move everything back out of the bedroom. However, April 9-12 both buildings will be without water at all from 8-5:30 for work on the main water lines. My contractor is scheduled to continue the guest bath restoration (finish demo and start tile work) April 9, so I'm not sure how they are going to handle the lack of water. I told them I would fill up the bathtub or whatever. We'll see what happens. They are finishing up my building, which is the east building (Tiers 1-16). The west building is about to start. The whole project is scheduled to be done in August, but I'm guessing with the delays we have had so far, it will be at least Sept.

Thought all closet drywall and painting would be done today, but because the wall between the apts has a double layer of drywall, the first layer has to be inspected. So...gotta wait for inspector then they will be back to finish up in there - I hope by Fri.

I imagine you are just used to this now, Deb. You, Vito and a couple of plumbers live in your apartment.

Wow...drywall inspector just came by. I'm in shock. So maybe the closet will be done tomorrow.

Yay! Drywall guy is here finishing up the closet. MsP very happy. Now I can get all the stuff out of the bedroom. And have a few days before the next guys (tile peeps) show up for the continuation of the guest bath.

All done! So this thread will go dormant for a couple of months until time for the kitchen.

Good. Hope no one springs a leak above you. Or are they working from the top down?

Yes, the work started at the top. And they come around when they turn the water back on each day to check the pipes for leaks. So far, so good!
