Default Popcorn makers and popcorn kernels?

I've decided to buy a popcorn maker instead of just the Pop Secret microwave stuff I normally eat after having popcorn at the Fine Parking lot at the Denver Airport a while back. It was really good!

Is this the one you recommend? How about kernels? Where do you order them and what brand. I looked on Amazon and there's a lot to choose from.

I know it's not what you are looking for Patty but this thread made me think of the old Jiffy Pop that we used to make on the stove when I was a kid.

That's the one that Scoots and I use. I love it. Get it here: https://www.whirleypopshop.com/
Also, I recommend these kernels: https://www.whirleypopshop.com/produ...t-popping-corn
After popping using just a little vegetable oil, I sprinkle with salt and pour on some melted butter.
YUM!

Gene is right. I have the Wabash Farms popper. I have worn out one of the aluminum poppers and replaced it with a stainless steel popper. It was a good investment!

I also use the Wabash Real Theater kits. They are very close to what you get at the movies and they are very convenient.

^Yeah, we used that once or twice as a kid and it was always burned. Of course, my mom could burn water.

^Scoots, I tried those Theater kits, but I found I liked the popcorn with just salt and butter better. Different strokes! But, no matter which, popcorn popped this way is far, far superior to that microwaved stuff.
