We had a reduction in force at work last week that involved some long time co-workers including our director of nursing with whom I'd worked the last decade and consider a good friend. She was kind enough to get word to me yesterday that I'm next on the hit list.

While we'll be OK financially for quite a while if this comes to pass I'm reluctant to commit to Spring Fling.

Maybe next year.

I am also sorry to learn about your pending change in employment status. Trust me, I know how it feels. I lost my job at the end of April 2011, so I can relate.

Like Lainey and the others, we were looking forward to meeting you after all of these years. I hope that circumstances allow you to make SF12.
