You're welcome, Matt. I remember the first time I met Barbara. It was at Fall Colors in October 2004, my second meet in the east. I think I gave her a ride to the track and you were already there. She seemed to always have a great time when she'd join you at meets. I think she stayed home with the cats sometimes. Am I right?

 

That's was a great meet. I think Matt & I plus Barbara & Donna may have closed the bar that night!

 

It was impressive. So many S2000s! It was the second and last meet my now ex-husband went to. I had way more fun without him in 2005 and 2006!

 

Sorry for such a great loss. It's good to hear that she will be laid to rest.

I suspected that something was wrong not seeing any posts from Barbara nor hearing you mention her. I'm sorry that I didn't ask, but I didn't know how to ask.

Our first meet was Spring Fling of 2004 in Buckeystown, MD put together by Ms Perky. On the subsequent meets Barbara was a bit nervous as a +1. Then at Spring Fling in 2010 when we had a meet at Cranberry PA, and did a track day at Beaver Run Motorsports Park. She borrowed Granny Rod's helmet I I took her several laps around Beaver Run. Once she saw what the car, and I, were capable of in a safe environment,after four laps around Beaver Run she asked me to let her out of the car. It totally changed her as a passenger: In fact at the last several times that she attended the meet in Marietta she actually fell asleep after lunch on our way back to the Hampton Inn after lunch while driving on RT 26.

 

Matt, apologies for not seeing this sooner. My sincere condolences to you. Pleased to see she'll be laid to rest in Arlington.

Thanks to Rob @ralper for letting me know about the thread. I've asked that Barbara's avatar and status be updated to an honorary member. RIP Barbara.

 

Matt, it could be said that the forum has been more impactful than owning the S2000.
Cars come and go, friends last forever in our hearts.
