Thanks for posting this. My first view of a resting ME262 was inside the Deutsches Museum in Munich when I was a kid. Even then it was roughly built - by hand, but very beautiful.

Thanks for the link Jim, I was wondering what the plane's story was as. . . impressive. Damn, good thing so few were built.

This is likely one of the authorized new builds that Messerschmitt gave consecutive serial numbers. Think Cobra continuation cars. It has modern engines etc but is built to the “improved” same standards as the originals. There are a couple flying in the US and are recognized as new builds not NOS or made from scraps parts found in a lake somewhere
