Reunions...
I've been to a couple of high-school ones (no college)...the first one was nice, to see all those peeps I hadn't seen in 20 years or so. We tried another one, but it was not as well attended and not as much fun. The DC area is very transient, so my high-school class spread out all over after graduation. Many did not want or were not able to return for the reunions. One of my closest friends is a woman from my class who moved away, then came back to the area about 10 years ago. We get together with one other woman sometimes for drinks. That is pretty much it (other than old boyfriend I saw in Montana).

I went to a very small Catholic high school, I don't think there were more than 70 students in my class. Yes, pleated skits, gray blazer, the whole bit. I went to the 10th High school reunion. Did not enjoy it at all. People were still too busy trying to impress each other. There was not a lot of mingling going on, people still stuck with the same groups from 10 years before.
I wasn't going to go to the 20th, but my sister had been to hers and told me it was very different, so I went. It was a real good time. Lots more mingling, people were just more comfortable with themselves and not bent on impressing the world.
The 30th passed by a year or so ago and nothing was planned. Not sure if I would go again if they have another, though when I run into former classmates around town, we do seem to have something to talk about.

I avoid them like the plague. However, I've often entertained the idea of sending an Eleanor Roosevelt look-alike to pose as me, and convince everyone that I've had a sex change.
