Thanks for the link, Dave. I wondered how long he'd last, after seeing his interview on TV a while back.

He fought a long time for someone with pancreatic cancer. My hat is off to him for being able to do what he did while battling the disease. Also he made two wonderful movies in Dirty Dancing and Ghost. Ghost was especially great.

He was a good actor and dancer but also one helluva nice guy.
My parents were extras in the movie North and South which was filmed in and around Charleston SC. My folks had been in several other films and were on a list.
Anyway, during the filming they got to have many conversations with him and had nothing but praise for his behavior.
He was a gentleman of the old school.

He fought the good fight. RIP Patrick.

His mom was a choreographer so you could say Patrick had dancing in his genes. My wife always thought he looked pretty good in his jeans, too. Another Disney find...not a mousekateer but he got his show business start as a dancer for the Disney On Parade touring show.

I've never heard or read a bad word about Mr. Swayze. Hard to find anyone in his line of work who can match that record.

I'm not sure which movie my wife has re-watched more - - Dirty Dancing or Pretty Women. RIP Patrick.

I enjoyed his movies, and I never have heard one person say anything negative about him. Perhaps one of those "only the good die young."
