Rob, I "borrowed Your Idea"
Hey Rob,
Hope you don't mind, but I "borrowed" from one of your posts. We were on the "Green Mountain Tour " drive this weekend in Vermont with the New England Group. We had a blast, I might add.
We pulled into one of the places on the tour, (about 12 cars at this point) and a little kid (boy) about four years old was so excited to see all these cars. His grandmother was taking his picture in front of the cars. So, I "borrowed" your idea, and asked if he wanted to sit in our car to take a picture,so in the driver's seat he went.
Grandma was ready with her camera, the kid was smiling, and we got a kick out of the whole thing..... I reget that I forgot to take out my own camera as well.
Thanks for the idea, the kid was thrilled.

Thank you for giving me the credit for the idea, but it really belongs to a fine gentleman from Connecticut who let my son Adam sit in his concours 1952 MG-TD. Adam never saw my TD (except for the photos) and has always wanted to "try one on" because of the way I talk about mine. This particular gentleman, who was showing his TD at the British Car Show was kind enough to let him sit in the car and pretend to drive it. It was quite a thrill for Adam, and the gentleman was all smiles too. That was the inspiration.
The funny thing about this is that making a kid happy makes us happy too, and its so simple to do.
Rob, I did the same thing when visiting my friend in Culver Lake over the 4th weekend. His 3 year old nephew came by for a visit and was intrigued by the S....so I put down the top for him, sat him on a pillow in the drivers seat....pushed all the way forward.
The only problem.....he would not get out and we were ready to leave
Well, his mother had to extract him and we were treated to
for several minutes....

As one never really knows what their impact is on influencing children and what "moment" or "experience" will have a lasting influence and potentially changing a childs life you may have just inspired the next (generation) Micheal Schmacher?
