Scam?
An ad appeared in our local paper today for a '67 Camaro, picture and all, of a really nice looking car for under $5k. The phone number listed is a Boston area code.... a long ways from mid-MI. ??? Since we used to have a '67 there's still a sweet spot for one. So I thought, what the heck, and I call. The voice mail box is full.
Dave,
It could also have been a prank. Some of my co-workers placed an ad in the local paper listing another co-worker's car for sale at a ridiculously low price. He was bombarded with calls, and finally figured out what happened, and called the paper canceling the ad. Needless to say, he was not too happy with his "friends".

Why would you want to buy an old Camaro for $5,000 from him when I have this wonderful old bridge that I'll sell you for $4,000. It's your chance to own a piece of New York, and I'll even answer the phone. Cash or money order only.
Or it's a rust bucket, and the seller "borrowed" the photo from somewhere. Some people in the SoCal forum have complained about posting pics of their cars here, and later finding the pictures used in eBay ads.
Believe it or not I actually bought a 68 rs/ss camaro with 14000 miles and the original redline tires on it a few years back "1982" for a super price.
The sad part is it was owned by a member of the military that didnt make it back.
His mom after 12 years finally decided to sell it, so barn finds do exist.
I sold it after a couple of years to buy a corvette , wish i had it back!

This one looked great in the photo and it was in front of a very nice looking home garage, the kind with separate bays. The ad said 90k miles. What struck me as funny was it said it was 2WD. I kinda wondered if it was a wife selling it. I don't recall many '67 4WD Camaro's.
