We had maybe 125-150, normally have around 200.

Drives me crazy when you see the big SUV's pull into into the subdivision, and 3-5 kids hop out and go door to door.

We've never strung Halloween lights before. We had more kids last night than we've ever had.
It was a lot of fun. My spider scared a rather small green dinosaur so badly she fell over and couldn't get up. .

We had several Moms and Dads halloweening carrying red solo cups.

We had 1/3 as many as we had last year. We had 3 last year and only one little lone witch this year.

 

We have a friend of my son's who grew up in our neighborhood. He shows up every year with his kids. Time passes. He now only has one kid who was interested in going out. He was looking for a refill on his Keeping with the season, Rick gave him a Sam Adams October Fest.

This guy spent a lot of time at our house when he was younger. I like it when he stops by. We get caught up a bit on family life. Unfortunately, his brother has been ill with cancer, so I filled a baggie with candy for him, put a on it and it will get delivered to him. I hope it helps to fatten him up a bit.

 

We too only had about 1/3rd of the kids. It was very cold and wet. Looks like we will be freezing a lot of candy.

 

We also had a very light turnout. And the weather was perfect. There have been several planned events around town the last few nights, including "Trunk or Treat" at the Long Beach Village Green...Cars would back in so their trunks faced the sidewalks. Most cars were highly decorated and all had their trunks open to buckets and bowls of treats. I guess those activities probably reduced the size of the Halloween night crowd.

 

^^^ Mike, I think it should have been called Tricks or Trunks. Or Treats AND Trunks. Cause OR is alternative, not additive!

 

I think it should have been called Predators Party. Ops, he just fell into my trunk going for candy and I didn't know he was there.
