Selling your 'S'
Today I received my second letter from a Honda dealership asking to buy my 'S.'
The letters have come from different dealerships at different times of the year.
I have not taken them up on their offers but perhaps I should phone just to find out what they are offering.
Anyone else get these letters and what 'game' are the dealerships playing?

Many dealerships are low on good used cars. They can make more money selling good used cars at times, than they can on a new one. Everyone knows what dealerships pay for cars by looking on the internet.
Of course if they offer you $$$$$ for you car, they are hoping you'll buy a new one from them.

I get them all the time for cars that I have traded years back. They alway go in the trash!

I used to get those offers often from Toyota dealerships for my 2008 RAV4. The offers were for about $18,000 when I sold it myself for around $23,000.

Yes, I get them a lot (notice I did not write alot, Gene - HAHA). The +1 gets them for his Lexus, also. Offering to give him a good trade-in on a new one. He's not interested, either.

I get them from nearby Honda dealers. My dealer, John Eagle, knows my car and would like to get it on the lot. I'm glad I don't get these from a Porsche Dealer. I might ... be tempted to look more closely at the new Cayman .

I receive the same letter's. Like the majority of you, they end up in the trash. Has anyone seen the Acura ILX or new Honda Accord Coupe? I understand both will be offered with a SI direct port FI engine and a 6MT.

With the average age of cars / trucks on the road today is 10+ years dealers are always looking for good used vehicles. This is also why used vehicles are going for a premium
