SF11
Good story. I've been in contact with Ken about my inability to attend SF11. I mentioned to him that since I will be still in therapy that a 10 hour drive would be a little to long for me to drive. Also the fact that I probably won't have a car. I ordered a 2012 SLK350 but it won't be in until June 1st.
Beth and I had the pleasure to go out to dinner with Carmen on Saturday night, unfortunately Sam (spt-s2k) showed up as well. We had a great time and some great conversation. Sam asked me about attending SF11 and I told him that because of my ankle and no car we would not be attending. At this point Beth started laughing and reminded me that our son Dan was getting married that weekend, completely forgot. Oh it's rough getting old.

Sam showed up? Was there a bomb scare?
What prompted the MB upgrade? I see it has a new V6 engine. I've often wondered how that car would work with my +1's back. As I recall they didn't have any we could test the time we stopped to check it out.

Dave, I imagine the reason for the ^new SLK is that Maury's lease is up on the "old" one, so it's time to find a new toy.
Maury, I was going to give you
for using the no car excuse since Jerry and I will be there with a rental but I'll let you slide since you have your son's wedding. I'm glad Beth could laugh about it. Poor Beth.
Maury, not that anyone asked me but I'm not liking the nose treatment on the 2012.
I know MB did it across the line up to meet the EU pedestrian safety standards but it's still ugly compared to the thier predecessors.

I appreciate your opinion, but it's funny that's the one thing that I really liked about the changes. Along with all of the other changes in 2012 I felt that this car really has a lot to offer. Some additional changes include red ambient lighting to the interior (I am ordering black with red leather interior), improved stereo system, folding side view mirrors, 7 speed automatic with paddle shifters.
Your opinions are always welcomed.
