I'll be very subdued and on good behavior as usual. I should be like this the entire time.

If you're like that the whole time, pepole will wonder who kidnapped Granny.

Hi honey!Hey Maury, do they still have a roller skating rink on the grounds? Sorry I haven't had time to read this whole thread.
Okay, folks, I'm letting the politics thread cool down before I go back and get flamed a little more. Sorry we won't be making the Fling because we're heading down south for some real live r&r. I have big news to report: +1 has finally decided to retire. His last day at work will be Feb. 29. Hopefully as soon after March 1 as possible we're going south to spend some time watching the grass grow and spending time with his sister who'll be there for a couple of months. Needless to say we're quite excited about the possibilities and hoping first and foremost that Jim will be able to get the much needed rest he deserves. We have a lot of hoped-for plans, but nothing is concrete. We'll not be making many meets this year since its time for us. Sorry guys, I love you all, but I need some serious time with +1.
We've been quite busy with accountants, investment advisors, blah, blah, blah. The next thing is going to be another round with estate planners, blah, blah, blah, but Jim's decided to postpone all that mess until we get some rest so we can better think about it all.

Good for you, Val, and +1! I know you've been wishing and hoping he'd retire for some time now. Have lots of fun and enjoy each other's company. I'm sure you will. You know you'll both be missed, at any meet you don't attend, but we understand....well we'll try to understand.

I'm so excited I could spit,
Dance away, Val. This calls for a lot of dancing, but no spitting. It's just not ladylike.
