About the same age as my Golden, who acts like she's 77.

That's an interesting buddy he/she has on the pillow, Val.

Jim's "sitting room" has a fair amount of primitive/rustic art objects in it and that pillow just seemed suitable. Sally (the little bulldog) LOVES that leather couch. She is not allowed on the furniture as a rule, but the rules have been relaxed because she's so cute.

I've loved dogs all my life. Here's a pic of me with my first pet when I was about 2-1/2 years old and lived with my grandmother. I can remember that hound. He actually belonged to Uncle Henry, who lived on my Grandma's property and helped out with chores, gardening, etc. I loved Uncle Henry too, but his hound dog was my best friend.

Uncle Henry was not really my uncle. He and Aunt Mamie lived in a little house on Grandma's land. They both worked for Grandma and they also took care of me a lot. I loved them with all my heart and some of my fondest memories from childhood were times I spent picking blackberries with Uncle Henry and licking the spoons and bowls when Aunt Mamie was cooking. They were really good to me and took good care of me and my Grandma.

Titan went to the vet yesterday and got weighed for his heartworm meds.
It looks like he's basically at his weight that he's going to get to without fattening up.
He's a lightweight at 150 lbs, well shy of the expected 225-250 range.
I'm fairly sure the breeder new this and looking back it's why we never got a look at momma.
Subsequent pictures on her website show momma to be quite a bit smaller than her sister who of course the breeder was quite happy to show us.
I still love the dog but man I hate being lied too.
