I spent Donna a link to a video of a soldier being welcomed home by her golden retriever. She keeps playing it on her phone. I think she is ready to spend a couple grand a get one of the smaller breeds of Golden.

Did anyone watch the Westminster Dog Show last night? I was disappointed that the crowd favorite didn't win. He was a beautiful Golden Retriever:

But, the Standard Poodle won Best in Show: (Not my favorite!)

This is the video that captures just how our Brandy would act sometimes! I have some memoriable videos of her playing and entertaining herself in the woods in the snow as she would show off for us - they are our keepers for ever to remember her. That's why we both are so stuck on getting yet another one. She just has to be smaller because as they age and need help getting into the car one that's 80 pounds or more is just too much. Enjoy.

I had seen that video..Really sweet! Thelma passed her blood work with flying colors. She's thrilled about her appointment next Thursday.

BTW, I don't "get" poodles....they just don't look like natural dogs, they seem too stuck up...not like a friendly golden. No offense to any poodles who may reside with members here.

The mixed breed dogs that combine with poodles seem like great dogs based on my limited experience. That would be our preference over the standard one that won,

When my ex finally let me see MY dogs, Vector and Rogue, again, after 4 years, my German Shepherds acted like that. They were squealing and rolling and leaning on me. I felt terrible and thrilled at the same time but so sad, too.
