Default Signed up for Social Security

Just signed up on-line for Social Security. If your turning 62 or older within 90 days you can sign up. Here is the link http://www.ssa.gov/

I takes about 20 minutes. After your signed up on-line you have to either send or bring them the supporting documentation; DD-214 (military discharge), birth certificate, and marriage certificate. I brought mine, they just check off the information and return the documents directly back to you. It's fast and simple. I expected to be waiting around for hours.

Congrats!

Not to wish my life away, but I'm looking forward to that day myself.

Don't you now have to trade the S for a Buick?

I thought about what my dad was driving when he was my age. It was in fact an big old Oldsmobile. Things have changed alot, we are a different generation. As long as I can still drive the S, I intend to keep it. It is my one way to still feel young.

I didn't expect that it would be so easy. My neighbor, who retired a few years ago, told me in was a pain in the a$$ when he signed up. I don't know if they changed the form, but now it is very user friendly.

I believe that we have a rather large club. Maybe we need to start a S2KSSC.
