I remember it well. His plane was Songbird and he lived somewhere in Arizona on The Flying Crown Ranch or something close to that. Early 50's was a lifetime ago!

 

Most of all, I remember Sky King's daughter, PENNY

 

I remember a few of them, Roy Rogers especially. So how far removed are the times shown in these old movies from the scenes and lifestyles depicted? 100 years? So the actors wouldn't have lived those 'wild west' times, but their parents did?
