Default So today at the vet's office

I had to drop Molly off at the animal hospital in Ft. Oglethorpe this morning to have some minor surgery - a yet to be determined growth on her right foreleg and a couple of cysts that needed to be removed. She'll turn eleven July 1 so not really unexpected.

After I checked her in while waiting for the tech to finish the paperwork so I could head back home and then to work an older couple came in with a young male Corgi. He was obviously traumatized as he was shaking so violently I could almost feel the vibrations through the counter.

The tech behind the counter asked the lady who was holding the dog "So why is he here today?"

The lady replied "We're having him neutered." I was chewing on my cheek at this point.

The tech then said "The poor little thing. He's shaking all over."

At this point I couldn't help myself. I said "Maybe you shouldn't have mentioned why he's here. I'm shaking all over myself."

There was about a three second period of stunned silence followed by hysterical laughter from everyone behind the counter. The couple with the dog just gave me "that look".

Molly's home and all's fine so far. I'll have to take her back in ten days to have some staples removed. Unless of course she or her sister remove them before hand.

^That's funny. When we brought my dog to be neutered, the vet said he only had one testicle. I asked if he would do the job for 1/2 price, but unfortunately no discounts.

Funny

We have a Great Dane that has not be "altered." The last time I picked him up from the kennel I asked if he had been able to play with the other dogs (generic). The answer was still a 'No'. It seems he gets so excited when their are bitches near that even when he's allowed to play with just the dogs, he can't contain himself!

^I had to look that up.

There's really no point. Barb's had the other ones for years now so I probably wouldn't miss them.
