Some encouragement needed for Jay (Golden Eagle)
Here's his thread...he has to sell his car.
Let's wish him the best (and find him a buyer!). Some of you know him from the many events he and his +1 Joyce have attended over the years, including Spring Fling last year at Wintergreen. His car is a gem. Best of luck, Jay, with the sale and your job!

WOW! Thanks so much for the kind words.
I expect the end of employment at our company for most (if not all of us) is just around the corner. Of course it is disappointing to be within 5-6 years of possible retirement but hey, maybe a new and exciting chapter of life is about to begin? No matter what happens I have had 13 plus very good years with this company and have been priveledged to be supported by the aboslute greatest group of employees one could ask for. Our company has been very good to me also. We have however reached a point where our available cash will no longer support the type of business we are trying to manage.
I probably could keep the "S" but I am trying to liquidate some assets possibly to move them into something that could generate income. I'll try to keep everyone informed as this unfolds. Thanks again to all of you for your support and the encouraging words.

Jay,
I'm very sorry to hear about the impact that your company's financial problems will have for you and the other employees. I don't know what your future plans are, and unfortunately, all my past IE contacts in the cut and sew business have either retired or were downsized, so I can't be of much help to you that way. Hope there is some way you can make this an early retirement, and see it as a new beginning, rather than as an end.
I wish you the best, and hope to see you on one of my rare visits to Tobaccoville!

PS: How many miles do you have on the S?

Jay, in our MGA club we have a active member who has been restoring an MGA for over 30 years. Bottom line, you do not need an S2000 to come to S2000 meets. Prime example is we all enjoy Brian's company and he has never showed up in an MG in 30+ years. Good luck on the sale.

Sorry to read this, Jay.
