Some thoughts on fixing Formula One
#2
Why fix it? F1 is as boring as NASCAR but, at least we get fist fights after some NASCAR races. Neither has any relevance to real cars or real driving. Or real sport for that matter. Bring back Group B rally cars only start them all at the same time...

The formula is simple, they need more passing. Formula 1 is simply a parade, you win the pole position and you likely win the race. The cars look great and sound great, but the lead changes are few and far in between. Most of the major track don't lend well to passing, they need newer tracks that have wider lanes and passing opportunities. Take Monaco for example, it is an amazing setting for a race, but you can't pass anywhere on the track and it really is a boring race outside of the scenery and sounds, so much history and money that they could never get rid of that one.

I'd make the F1 cars smaller. Not as fast. Maybe 1200cc limit on engine size. Try to make tracks wider. More lines, in turns.
Just a thought.
Just a thought.

They sound great? Have you heard the NA cars of past?
some common sense I think needs to be put back into the sport. Like the incident in Montreal with Vettel, some people arguing against a penalty of any sort.

The issue is....the cars are still pretty far apart.
I watch both F1 and MotoGP religiously.
MotoGP is very far from spec motorcycles but the Hondas (well, the one ridden by Marc Marquez), top Ducatis, Yamahas and Suzuki are all right on top of one another fighting for wins. That's the finest motorsport on the planet.
