Life and racing was a LOT simplier in those days.

Here's a link to Waterford Hills track, north of Pontiac, MI. I only lived a couple miles from there is the late 60s and spent a lot time there. MGAs were very popular.

What a trip!
I saw my old TR3 and AH3000 in there.

Great find, Dave. Both the cars and the venue took me back to my youth. Unfortunately I was too young to drive when I lived in western New York State. Even in my two driving years there I couldn't afford a car so driving was limited to cruising in Dad's Ford wagon. (At least it had the "police interceptor" package. Didn't get my first car (a Spitfire) until I was in Texas in the Air Force.

Thanks

Great Video

I found myself backing it up and trying to identify all the cars I could on there. I think I saw an orange sunbeam and the ass end of a white one.

What model Porsche was that that passed him and another porsche? It had a dual exhaust. What was that long skiiny one they were loading at the end?

There were severalcars that I have no idea what they were.

I'll watch it again.

There are several Porches that would have raced in E class at that period - Porsche 1500, 1500S, 1600, 1600S, and 1600C.

I've only watched it once but plan to watch it again. I'll try to pay more attention to the models.

That Genesee beer truck brought back some memories, too ...not all of which were entirely pleasant.

Now THAT I did notice. That's like a NY & PA beer, right? Growing up in western PA, I know it was very popular there.
